Emmanuel Addo is the Founder of the Young Global Leaders Network
Young Global Leaders Network is an international youth development, non-governmental organization registered in six countries namely, Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan and has a membership strength of over 15,000 young black professionals, students, graduates, and aspiring leaders. The organization has over 200 volunteers serving as management or team members across Africa. Emmanuel aims to expand the impact the organization is making across Africa.
The organization also operates in 25 other African countries. Emmanuel also doubles as the chief convener and founder of the Young African Leaders Summit, one of the largest and impactful continental youth summits in Africa.
Emmanuel currently holds a managerial role in one of the leading universities in the UK where he manages over 30 university partner accounts, builds and maintains relationship.
Until June 2023, Emmanuel worked at Kingston University in the United Kingdom developing partnerships and building and maintaining relationships.
At Kingston University, Emmanuel managed and coordinated operational activities that supported the development and delivery of business engagement opportunities, partnerships, marketing projects, and product development initiatives across Research, Business and Innovation, including degree apprenticeships, knowledge exchange initiatives and business development support.
He was also responsible for administration across the Business Engagement team including reporting and compliance, liaison with other Directorates, assisting with contracts and project material and directed the review of relevant markets and opportunities.
He was responsible for horizon scanning, market research, analysis, and provision of specialist advice & guidance.
He was responsible for the process, procedure, and documentation for all business development and marketing initiatives. As part of his role, he prepared briefings, guidance, and data analysis for RBI SLT. – Business Development support and compliance management, including obtaining approvals.
Emmanuel generated new commercial and knowledge transfer opportunities with businesses, including the development and writing of new proposals, ensuring existing/former clients are aware of opportunities and events, and identifying potential sales leads.
Emmanuel worked at Manipal International University in Malaysia where he provided specialist curriculum, academic partnership and recruitment advise to the Business School and the University.
Emmanuel characterizes energy, integrity, result-oriented, and ground-breaking service in each detail of strategic management, change management, corporate entrepreneurship, stakeholder management, and leadership acquaintances.
He enable innovation and creativity in people and cultivate their thinking around risks and help them try new things at the same time. He help cultivate insights and ideas; plan, design, and execute forward-thinking workshops that allow people to step away from conventional solutions with experiments.
Social entrepreneurship is very close to his heart as it includes elements of project development, innovation, design thinking, strategic decision, and above all, the excitement of implementation.
What makes his work most exciting is cultivating people’s imagination and innovative ideas, enabling their enthusiasm, and helping them try new things.
At the Open University, he project managed the regular maintenance and presentation of modules allocated, in conjunction with academic and professional support staff including operational planning, scheduling, and resource management and reporting.
Emmanuel acted as committee secretary/administrator to quality assurance or assessment governance bodies as required
in supporting the academic chairperson. Emmanuel was also responsible for academic partnership initiatives including developing and managing academic partnerships globally.
